AGS Consulting - Achieving Goals & Solutions

Mission Statement


To further develop the local community by providing innovative business strategies to nonprofit organizations through the diverse experiences and knowledge of Alpha Kappa Psi members.

AGS Consulting was founded by the Upsilon Psi chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi at UC Davis in 2004. It was created with the intention of assisting the local community by providing pro-bono consulting services in the fields of accounting, business organization, finance, human resources, technology, or any other areas of interest. AGS Consulting strives to accomplish these by: 1) Providing nonprofit clients with strategic solutions to improve their business and 2) Offering team members the opportunity to utilize and improve their business analytical skills through consultation with real world clients.

Case Study Competitions

AGS Consulting's members train year-round for various case study competitions in the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding states. Members of AGS Consulting have competed in the following competitions:

• Third Place - Principled Business Leaders Institute 2009 in Reno, NV

Past Clients


TREE Davis (Spring 2006)

In the spring of 2006, AGS Consulting implemented a new and improved business plan for TREE Davis. AGS Consulting established a more financial based system for TREE Davis and devised a plan for organizational efficiency. AGS Consulting aimed to increase the name recognition of TREE Davis, to establish a secure financial base, and to improve the internship program.

Over the years, TREE Davis has increased their visibility within the UC Davis campus and has reached out to the Davis business community through the marketing plan that AGS Consulting created. The new and revised plan for the intern program at TREE Davis has also been a success as there have been several UC Davis students involved in the program. Our relations continue with TREE Davis as we have had past members of AGS Consulting contribute as an intern of their program and the services TREE Davis offers to the local community. AGS Consulting worked to create a more successful Tree Davis by focusing on areas of improvement and providing concrete steps and plans to achieve both short and long-term visions.
